Welcome to Derbyshire NUT
The National Union of teachers is the largest teachers’ union in both the UK and in Europe. Unlike other classroom teacher unions, all members of the NUT are either fully qualified teachers or actively working towards the qualification.
Our size enables us to offer unequalled service to our members. We represent members either individually or as a collective. We negotiate policy with the Local Authority and implement national NUT decisions locally.
We are a democratic lay-led union and this is reflected in the way we organise meetings and encourage participation of our members.
To become involved contact the Derbyshire NUT office.
As well as support from local officers members can receive help from our network of regional officers and solicitors. Our Regional office is in Doncaster.
